Proposals

From Norway:

Dear All,
We are planning to work with a mini project called LUNCH HOUR right after Christmas. Inspiration to the project came from an exhibition in New York http://exhibitions.nypl.org/lunchhour/exhibits/show/lunchhour
The project will be incorporated in our Social Studies class related to the topic on cultural diversity.
We will be most interested to know what students and teachers in the partner school countries have for lunch. We would like your students to answer the following questions:
a) Do they bring a Lunch box with food prepared at home (by mum or dad?). Is there a school canteen? Or do they go out to buy food? Or do they go home at lunch time?
b) What is the actual food? Sandwiches, warm meals, hamburgers, pizzas, salads, etc…
c) What is the nutrition value of this food?
d) Why is it like it is? – Why lunch box? Why warm food?

One or two groups of students (4-5) from each country would be nice. We will connect these students on eTwinning with groups of our students so they have direct contact and can work a bit together. This would be good also in relation to your visit to Bergen!

From Poland:

We invite you to cooperate with partner schools in our mini project.
The title of our mini project:

Bread on the European table.

Please help in gathering answers to the following questions.
1. How was the ground prepared for sowing in the past?
2. How was seed sown in the past?
3. How did they gather crops from the fields?
4. How wheat was threshed?
5. How did they grind the wheat into flour?
6. How did they bake bread in the old times
Will be seen also glad to answer the Annexes in the form of images.
